On the morning of 23 June local time, Jiang Feng, founder, chairman and general manager of Chuangxin Laser, announced the official opening of the European headquarters and German subsidiary! This is another historic move by Chuangxin Laser to continue its international development, accelerate the optimisation of its global layout, and upgrade its local R&D and service capabilities, marking a new stage in its localised operations in Europe!

The newly established European headquarters and German subsidiary are located in Gilching, Bavaria, a leading European centre for high-end manufacturing and laser technology. The area is home to the headquarters of internationally renowned companies such as Raylase, Blackbird, EOS, Alpha Laser, and Coherent Germany, and boasts Germany’s most comprehensive laser industry supply chain infrastructure. It is also adjacent to the renowned Munich International Applied Laser and Optoelectronics Technology Expo. The state offers an excellent manufacturing foundation and a high-level laser industry ecosystem. Chuangxin Laser’s establishment will foster long-term, stable, mutually beneficial collaborative partnerships with local enterprises, enabling complementary laser technology and application integration as well as joint innovation.

The ceremony was attended by a distinguished gathering of guests: Mr. Qiu Xuejun, Chinese Consul General in Munich; Dr. Wittmann, Bavarian State Minister for Economic Affairs, Regional Development, and Energy; Mr. Frey, Chief Administrative Officer of Starnberg; Mr. Fink, Mayor of Gilching; and Professor Schuller, Vice President of the Bavarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, all of whom delivered enthusiastic speeches. Mrs. Hoffmann, Deputy Director of the Bavarian Investment Agency, along with over 30 CEOs and CTOs from leading international companies across the global laser industry supply chain, as well as prominent local figures, were also present to express their support and witness this significant milestone in the establishment of a Chinese laser brand in the heart of Europe.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Qiu Xuejun, Chinese Consul General in Munich, delivered the opening remarks: The establishment of Chuangxin Laser’s European headquarters and German subsidiary represents a vivid example of Chinese high-tech enterprises ‘going global’ and actively integrating into the global innovation network, showcasing China’s efforts to transition from manufacturing to innovation. The Chinese Consulate General will continue to support capable and reputable Chinese companies in conducting lawful and compliant operations in Germany and across Europe, while deepening practical cooperation between China and Germany, as well as China and Europe, in the field of high-end manufacturing.

Dr. Wittmann, Minister of the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development, and Energy, then took the stage. He warmly welcomed MAX Laser to Bavaria and expressed great anticipation for how China’s advanced laser technology will inject new vitality into Europe’s industrial manufacturing sector! The minister emphasized: ‘MAX Laser’s choice of Gilching is a recognition of Bavaria’s status as Europe’s leading hub for high-end manufacturing and laser technology!’ Bavaria not only hosts a large number of globally influential industrial enterprises but also boasts a comprehensive network of small and medium-sized enterprises and world-class research platforms. In Bavaria, MAX Laser can leverage the state’s resources to develop high-precision, high-reliability laser solutions, and establishing a foothold here will enable it to reach the entire German and even European manufacturing market. I personally look forward to MAX becoming an important bridge for deepening industrial and technological cooperation between China and Germany, as well as between China and Europe.”

Dr Wittmann specially prepared Bavarian local speciality gifts for the official opening of MAX’s European headquarters and German subsidiary, and personally tried out MAX’s handheld welding machine, praising the ease of use, speed and quality of handheld laser welding.

Mr. Frey, Chief Executive Officer of Starnberg, said in his speech: As the economic engine and high-tech base of Germany, Starnberg has gathered innovative enterprises from various industries such as aerospace, medical technology, communications and development, lasers, and logistics. With its superior geographical location, it is the innovation centre of Bavaria, adjacent to the Munich University of Technology’s industry-academia-research collaborative campus environment.

Gilching Mayor Mr. Fink pledged his full support for MAX Laser’s development in the city, stating that the establishment of MAX Laser’s European headquarters and German subsidiary not only recognises Gilching’s industrial appeal but will also further promote the development of the local high-tech industry and create valuable employment opportunities for the Gilching region.

Mayor Fink provided a detailed overview of Gilching’s industrial development advantages. As the most economically vibrant region in the district of Starnberg, Gilching has evolved from a traditional aerospace hub into a hub for cutting-edge industries such as aerospace, medical technology, and laser technology, while maintaining the vitality of its traditional industries and retail sector, thereby establishing a diversified industrial ecosystem. Girsching’s advantageous geographical location, robust industrial foundation, and well-developed research and development ecosystem, coupled with its close collaboration with research institutions and universities in Munich, will provide innovative enterprises with technical support and talent assurance.

MAX Laser Founder, Chairman, and General Manager Jiang Feng first expressed gratitude to all guests for visiting the European headquarters and German subsidiary. In his speech, Mr. Jiang stated that lasers, as tools of the new era, are perfectly integrated with Germany’s ‘Industry 4.0’ and China’s smart manufacturing concepts, becoming a cross-era tool that influences the global industrial processing development landscape.
